Kelly Olson, a CFP™ (Certified Financial Planner) and CDFA (Certified Divorce Financial Analyst), has been in the financial services industry since 1999. She joined Channel Financial as a partner in 2009 and leads the individual wealth management division, Channel Wealth.

Kelly provides management of client’s wealth and investments from the accumulation stage throughout the retirement phase. Her focus is providing a clear plan to build and preserve client wealth in a prudent manner by incorporating a personal wealth plan and investment strategy. She has strong convictions that an investment plan is only as good as the financial plan that directs it through the analysis of cash flows, objectives and risk tolerance.

Prior to Channel Wealth, Kelly provided 8 years of investment management, tax preparation and wealth planning to clients at two large regional accounting firms in the Twin Cities. She also spent 2 years at two international brokerage firms.

Kelly has her B.S. in Finance and Economics with a minor in accounting from the University of Northern Iowa and has her Series 63, 65 and 7. She spends her free time running (ok, jogging), attempting to golf, participating in duathlons (because she’s a horrible swimmer) and spending time in Lake Okoboji.
